GTFO Is BACK!
Happening this Saturday, October 8th, the first GTFO Sponsored Womxn's Climb of Fall 2022! Come Climb for FREE 8am - 9:30am! Pre registration for this is required! Head over to our website to sign up today!
Join us on the second Saturday of the month during Womxn's Climb at no cost to you! Spots and shoe rentals are sponsored by GTFO. We will have an instructor present to answer all your climbing questions and help guide beginners.

Bloctober and ECC '22 On October 29th we'll be hosting Bloctober! This event will have both a recreational scramble and a Senior Competitive event.
Bloctober is the second event in the first ever East Coast Circuit! ECC is brought to you in partnership with Sport Climbing New Brunswick (SCNB), Climb Nova Scotia (CNS), Fit Rocks Saint John, and Halifax's Seven Bays!
ECC 22 will offer athletes three opportunities to compete this fall. Points won at these events will determine which athletes earn the chance to compete at the 2022Senior Boulder National Competition in late November.

Volunteer Opportunity: Interested in being involved but not looking to compete? We'll need volunteers to help up throughout the day! Some things we'll need help with:
MCs to help communicate information and move the day along (3)
Judges for the qualifying and finals rounds (10)

Time keeper for Competitive Qualifier and Finals (2)
Volunteer to Livestream (phone to live stream is provided)

Pass Freeze In preparation for Bloctober, we will need to close the gym Oct, 27-29. We will automatically freeze Annual and Monthly passes on Thursday, the 27th and unfreeze them on Sunday the 30th. These three days will be added onto the backend of your monthly or annual pass.

Training And Wellness Class
October 12: Core for Climbers - Pilates with Samantha Shea Join us every other Wednesday evening 6pm-6:45pm, for a climbing-inspired, pilates-based class. This class, facilitated by Samantha Shea, is a specialized Pilates Fusion class that focuses on building total body strength, stability, and mobility for anyone wanting to improve their climbing skills & resiliency. This class will help to reduce muscle tension and soreness, as well as reduce the risk of injury while climbing. Pre-registration is required online at fbcwall.com. October 23: Guided Yoga with Courtney Mollins-Bidlake Start your Sunday off right and join Courtney for a guided yoga session. All skill levels welcome! Yoga mats will be available, but feel free to bring your own. Pre-registration at www.fbcwall.com These sessions will be free for FBC members, and $5 for non-members. **The reasoning behind this is based on feedback from members and routesetters after previous competitions we have held.
Climbers often come in to bare walls first thing on Sunday mornings after comps so we're hoping this gives the setters time to get in and set the walls back up for climbers to come in and use Sunday night.
This is something new we're trying and will be looking for feedback from members on this approach once Bloctober has concluded!
